After a quarrel with a friend in Prayagraj, a student committed suicide by jumping from the roof of a coaching institute located near Jahaj Square in Katra. She was taken to SRN in a critical condition but by then she had stopped breathing. The police kept interrogating the friend till late night after taking him into custody.
Bhupendra Nath Tripathi, a resident of Rohi village in Bhadohi, lives with his family in a rented house at Nagarha Tiraha in Allahpur. He runs his family by working as a priest. Deepali (22) was the second of his three daughters.
Eyewitness Mohammad Samik said that the student was standing in front of a shop near Jahaj Square and talking to a young man at around 11 am. Suddenly, an argument broke out between the two. The two kept arguing for about two and a half hours.
Meanwhile, the youth snatched the girl’s phone and threw it on the road. When the girl protested, the youth slapped her. Enraged by this, she reached the second floor of Climax Coaching located in front and jumped from there. As soon as she fell down, people nearby ran and took her to a nearby hospital.
